FIDI, NEW YORK, NY | 3000 SQ. FT.

We’ve collaborated with Educational Housing Services on several student commons spaces, each designed to foster community and comfort. This latest project is located in the Wall Street neighborhood of Manhattan, within the lobby of a high-rise dormitory building.

The renovation focused on reimagining the entry sequence and reclaiming underutilized space. By relocating the security turnstiles to align with a newly positioned security desk, we were able to significantly expand the area available for student lounging and studying.

The redesigned space features abundant greenery, warm ambient lighting, and a soft ceiling canopy that lowers the perceived scale of the lobby, creating a more intimate and inviting atmosphere. Together, these elements establish a relaxed, residential feel—providing students with a calm retreat amid the city’s energy.
